The Practice

Breeze was founded by landscape architects Neil Black and Paul Swann in 2004. Between them they have over forty years experience working on a diverse range of projects across Britain and mainland Europe. The practice is registered with The Landscape Institute and abides by its Code of Conduct.

Both Directors are closely involved in all aspects of design, delivery and management and so are able to offer clients a high level of professional service from project inception to completion and beyond. Their strength lies in providing a creative, design based approach, whilst providing strong project management skills to ensure successful delivery of projects, in relation to design quality, value for money and programme.

‘Working with Breeze Landscape on the redesign of Radnor Street Gardens was a pleasure from beginning to end. Their thoughtful inventiveness combined with gentle respect meant that they secured the confidence of residents and officers in a difficult area from the outset.

They managed the transition of a miserable open space only used by dog walkers into a much loved small park that is now well used by local children and people of all ages playing, sitting or using it as an attractive and safe pedestrian route. Shortly after it re-opened residents said that it had “created an instant community”. From the point of view of an officer Breeze’s attention to detail, thoroughness and commitment to the whole project, including controlling costs, made working with them an uplifting experience’.

Liz Kessler, Public Space Co-ordinator, EC1 NDC
