Mildmay Liveable Neighbourhood

Working with Islington’s highways, parks and climate adaption teams, we assisted in prepared a masterplan strategy for Mildmay Road, King Henry’s Walk and St Jude’s Street in Mildmay. An extensive series of public realm works including rain gardens, widened pavements and new public space has been developed through the liveable neighbourhood’s engagement process. This has included working with local businesses, door knocking sessions with residents and use of the Council’s on-line engagement platform. The masterplan strategy developed will provide improved walking, wheeling and cycling routes between existing schools, shops, St Jude and St Paul’s Church and other important community facilities including St Jude’s Street Gardens. The greening of the highway provides SuDs flood resilience, summer shade, urban cooling, and biodiversity net gain.
